Best Home Espresso Machine Picks and Reviews

A good quality home espresso machine can make gourmet coffee, and brings out the full potential of the coffee beans. Espresso machines produce highly concentrated, rich, dark brews that are favored by the Italian bistros and coffee shops. The coffee beans must be finely ground and packed to produce strong coffee which espresso drinkers call “shots” and drink from miniature cups. When making milk-based beverages such as cappuccinos or lattes, milk is heated separately using the machine’s frothing tube which blasts steam into the milk, whipping it into froth.

Having an espresso machine at home could save you money instead of buying beverages at espresso stands, while giving your kitchen a professional mystique. Today, consumers have high expectations for coffee machines, making manufacturers go to greater lengths in designing and building outstanding espresso makers for home use with similar qualities to a commercial type espresso machine. You and your family are now in for a real treat when you get these top rated home espresso machines and you might even impress your friend who works at Starbucks.

There are 4 filter baskets included in the box: 2 double-wall pressurized filters (1 and 2 shots) that take the guess work out of tamping, which is ideal for beginners; 2 single wall non-pressurized filters (1 and 2 shots) that offer more room to experiment with different ground amounts, sizes, and tamping pressure. These are best for consumers with more experience in making espressos. 1. I have owned a Breville Barista Express BES870XL for quite some time now. I previously owned a lower end Breville 800ESXL model and decided to stick with Breville due to the quality of build and great extractions my older model produced. The higher end BES870XL model, as stated above incorporates several additional features which I appreciate very much. My bur grinder went on the fritz when I was looking for a newer espresso machine so I was looking a purchasing both a grinder and an espresso machine. When I saw the Breville Barista Express BES870XL I was sold. My older machine had a thermo block which has the seal go out on it. When I read that this was no longer an issue with the thermo coil incorporated in the newer model,I knew that this machine would last me even longer than my last one did. I can go on about the quality of build of this machine but let me just tell you that I am an espresso and cappuccino enthusiast and know a good shot and a good cappuccino when I drink it. I find what this machine produces is better than anything I have had in the past from any Starbucks, and at a fraction of the cost.

Buy this machine, you won’t regret it.
